Chronic Diseases
Hyperlipidemia means elevated lipid level in your blood, such as high levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol, non-HDL cholesterol or triglycerides. Thus, hyperlipidemia may cause fat deposition in arteries, which results in greater risk of cardiovascular disease. Keep in mind that not all cholesterols in body are bad. Low levels of HDL (good) cholesterol may also increase the risk of atherosclerotic plaque and blockages.
