IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME (IBS)
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) can be classified as one of the functional gastrointestinal disorders, which include IBS, functional diarrhea, functional abdominal pain, functional bloating, evacuation disorders and functional constipation.

Treatment including medications, psychosocial therapies and nutrition therapies is used to minimize the symptoms. Unfortunately, no cure has been identified as of today. Luckily, we can make a change in our lifestyle to help coping with these symptoms.

You may have heard this diet called low FODMAP (fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols) from your health professionals.
Low FODMAP diet has an effective rate of 75% in relieving symptoms for people with IBS. However, it is not used for everyone. It is a learning diet that is commonly introduced for people suffering from IBS symptoms.
We aim to work with you to provide a minimally restrictive diet based on your symptom and tolerance.

Restriction: Switching high FODMAP foods to low FODMAP alternatives (2~6 weeks)

Reintroduction: Challenge each FODMAP separately (6~8 weeks)
