  • Vitamin B12, which is essential for the nervous system and the production of blood cells, is found almost exclusively in products of animal origin. 

  • Iron is much less absorbed in vegetable products than animal products. This nutrient is found in legumes, some green vegetables, and whole grain breads and cereals. 

  • Protein, essential for maintaining muscles and for the proper functioning of the body, are mainly present in greater quantities in soybeans and legumes.
